Day six | -38 degrees
There's frost on the inside of my bedroom window. Schools and businesses are closed, they're talking about frostbite conditions on the news, and I have the vaporizer on. Tomorrow's high: 7. Things are looking up!

Day one | New Year's day
Here in northern Illinois, we've had between eight and twelve inches of snow in the last day. It made for treacherous New Year's eve driving, but an awesome first day of 2014 for others.
